A successful beginning to a new academic journey at SMS Law College, Varanasi! The Two-Day Orientation Programme for newly admitted BA LL.B. students commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and a warm welcome address by Dr. Prabhat Kumar Srivastava, Principal, SMS Law College, Varanasi, who highlighted the scope and importance of legal education.

 The programme was graced by esteemed dignitaries:

1. Dr. Ajendra Srivastava, Professor, Faculty of Law, BHU, Varanasi, who introduced students to fundamental concepts of law, justice and customs, emphasizing the role of law as an instrument of social change.

2. Shri Rajiv Mukul Pandey, ADJ & Secretary, DLSA Varanasi, who emphasized the importance of staying updated with the practical aspects of law and briefed students about the National Lok Adalat on 12 September 2026 and the Mediation for Nation Campaign 3.0.

3. Prof. (Dr.) Santosh Kumar Singh, Dean of Law, V.B.S.P.U., Jaunpur, who guided students on building the right roadmap for learning law and achieving their professional goals. The sessions also covered Faculty & College Infrastructure by Mr. Avinash Kumar Roy and Discipline & Institutional Practices by Mr. Atish Khadse.

The session coordination and vote of thanks were delivered by Dr. Upasana Wali, Assistant Professor, SMS Law College, Varanasi. With the presence of our faculty members and distinguished guests, the orientation marked an inspiring start to the students’ journey toward becoming responsible legal professionals.
