SMS Law College Varanasi celebrated 76th Constitution Day at the college today . We were honoured to have among us our Esteemed Chief Guest , Dr .S.P. dMishra Sir, Retd . Associate Professor , Harish Chandra PG College Varanasi.

The programme proceedings began with the blessings of Our Principal SMS Law College Varanasi Dr. Prabhat Kumar Srivastava who addressed the audience by highlighting the importance of Constitution Day for the citizens and to promote constitutional ethics in a right way.

Our Respected Chief Guest for the occasion was Dr. S.P Mishra , Retd. Associate Professor , Harish Chandra PG College, Varanasi highlighted the need not to forget the sacrifices of people who framed the Constitution. Further he also said that Constitution Day should be Remembered as " Red Letter Day". The Constitution is supreme over all the Institutions which it created.

Lastly the Law students were made familiar that social disparity should be eliminated . The Chief Guest addressed the students by stressing that Political Democracy is meaningless without Social Democracy.

The session was coordinated by Dr. Upasana Wali, Assistant Professor , SMS Law College Varanasi.

The oath of the Preamble and Vote of Thanks was coordinated by Dr. Ashraya Dubey, Assistant Professor SMS Law College Varanasi.

All faculty members of SMS Law College Varanasi were present Mr.Ankit Rai, Dr. Sangeeta Singh and Mr. Avinash Roy. The day concluded with the participation of students in the Constitution Debate . Students spoke on various topics like Rights of Women, Fundamental Rights , Social Justice , Article 19 and Article 21.

First prize was bagged by Shivangi from 7th semester.Second prize was bagged by Anamika Yadav from 3rd semester.
Third prize was bagged by Muskan Chaturvedi ( 7th semester ) and Ananya Sinha ( 5th semester)
