SMS Law College Varanasi Legal Aid Clinic organized a Legal Awareness Camp in association with District Legal Services Authority on 13th November 2024 at Village Bhadwar , Post- Kashipur Varanasi .

Principal SMS Law College Varanasi Dr.Prabhat Kumar Srivastava gave an overview of the importance of organising the Legal Awareness  Camp .It was emphasized in the camp that SMS Law College has established a Legal Aid Clinic which provides free Legal Aid through Legal Experts and Counsellors. Legal Aid Clinic  will be open from Tuesday to Friday from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM.

The basic objective of organising this camp was to ensure that people get acquainted with their legal rights and make people aware about Legal Services which are guaranteed to them under our judicial system.

Students presented their views on various pertinent issues engulfing society and also made public aware of their rights and support which is provided to them in purview of free Legal Aid . 

Various issues remained the central focus of the event like Women Empowerment and Criminal Law, POSCO Consumer Awareness, Right to Education, Public Interest Litigation and Soil Pollution .
